Thank you for taking an interest in my practice. One of the most important, yet difficult parts about seeking support is finding a good match in the practitioner. I am no stranger to the process as I’ve been in your shoes before, so the following is a little about me and my approach.
Who is Clara Rose?
The name I go by is Clara Rose. This name came through a process of spiritual emergence and was given to me by my ancestors, by the unseen others, and by a group of powerful humans in my life who are both my dear friends and teachers.
My legal name is Ronni Umles LMHC, NYS License #013295.
I am originally from southern California and living in New York since 2011.
I have a deeply committed yoga, meditation, and conscious dance practice.
I love traveling and exploring new environments.
I love tattoos! I have many.
I identify as clairaudient (hearing), clairsentient (feeling), and claircognizant (knowing).
I operate through the lens of the transpersonal and work with various states of consciousness.
I integrate energy and shamanic practices into my work as a therapist.
I work under the belief that we are in constant motion and change is inevitable. It’s how we cope with our fears and uncertainties as well as process through stuck energy or emotions that determines our perspectives and our outcomes. Building awareness around our emotional energy is not always an easy process to do alone, especially when we’re holding onto a difficult past. My approach to therapy operates through the lens of becoming more connected to our body, our emotions, and our minds. Ultimately, my goal is to create an objectively safe space for you to become an increasingly aware individual. In turn, allowing you to step back and observe how you make decisions that impact your well-being and the well-being of others.
I didn’t always have the confidence I have now, I didn’t always feel happy, and sometimes I still don’t. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned from my own spiritual and therapeutic endeavors is that all emotions are an essential part of developing consciousness. My background in this area runs deep, as for a good portion of my life I hid from the shame I held inside, thinking there was something wrong with me for being able to feel so deeply and for the choices I made. Eventually I was faced with no other option but to seek support, not from one but many sources. It’s been several years since I became aware of the role I played in my own perpetuating self-defeating beliefs. Having a support system provided me with the tools to develop a new perspective while also creating a network to confront a past that haunted me and held me back from living an unapologetically empathic, and compassionate life.
Living intentionally comes with work. Deep work.
If we work together, I will meet you where you are, and I will challenge you in ways you may not be completely comfortable with at first. I will encourage you to become aware of your needs, desires, fears, boundaries, and try new things. I will remind you that long-term change takes time and a willingness to move with the unknown.
My role, first and foremost, is to hold space, then offer insight, and guidance to support you in building an authentic and honest relationship with yourself.
If this feels like a good start, I would be delighted to hear from you.
